It seems like a lot more musicians in the US are influence by video game music. A CD of game music tributes called Video Games Live hit the Billboard charts recently here in the US, (perhaps similar to Press Start?) I hope game music becomes much more popular! Peace through shared culture as they say.

I always wondered what Johnny Gioeli looked like in person. . .
Thanks!

Hello! Thanks (^^ I think the videos are more ineteresting but one of SEGA staff was very nice to lend me a stand to take photos (as I was too short to take pictures!), SEGA rocks!(for that reason? lol)
It was a nice show.
Heh, Zuntata and Crush 40 are both awesome. I love the stuff they've done for the Sonic games, and I really liked Zuntata's work on the Darius and Ray/Layer Section Series.
I'll bet it was pretty neat to see them in person.

I wonder sometimes how these live performances tie in to game shows like this, do they write songs for the games? It looked like they showed a lot of Sonic footage in the background.

Hi :)
Sorry for getting back to you late ;P
I think they see VGM is actually a category of music, and it's logical to have live shows, maybe :)
There were more titles of live shows from SEGA and other gaming companies, but I just didn't have 2 bodies to take pictures for all ;p
