It`s an americana, not a kimura... Very good move though.

Nice technique but, not to be a smartass or anything, since you're bending his arm upward isn't this actually an American armlock counter?

@Tyler83Mr No, it doesn't. The 'Americana' is an ancient move that's been around probably as long as wrestling has been around. It was coined the 'Americana' by Rolls Gracie after his Americana wrestling trainer Bob Anderson who taught it to him.

Loved it, didn´t know this counter.

@Tyler83Mr They call it Americana because that`s how it`s called in BJJ. The same is valid for the kimura, which was named that way in bjj in honor of Masahiko Kimura, the Kodokan fighter who used that move to defeat Helio Gracie.
If you prefer using the japanese name (older as you said) it would be Ude Garame (or Garami... you`ll find both ways and I honestly don`t know who`s right).

I dont know where in the hell some guys from USA call it as Americana. It comes from JUDO - some centurys ago ... when USA didnt even existed ... US, always a joke.

@UmDiaEuFicoBom Kimura is OLDER (!!!) than Americana. so, that is a fucking KIMURA.
-
this is so fucking sick.

Yup, keylock or americana, good stuff
-
Pretty sure that's a keylock, not a kimura... but whatever. Cool stuff.
