  • you know there is a ban on live baitfish. worms, leeches and shrimp are fine. its the invasive species baitfish that causes the problem.

  • @mrmints84 Really? Does the ban include frozen minnows? What problem occurs from using dead frozen minnows?

  • going to this lake in 2 weeks for the first time.. Where are the best sites? much appreciated..

  • @grizzlyrafting I don't know the sites that well - I usually only go in for the day. Sorry I can't help...

  • Love it !! I'm heading up to that area next weekend ! Hope to be as lucky (skilled) as you ! Although i'm not sure if the ice is out yet . . . would you know any places for Brookies ?

  • @88bonk88 Excellent. That area is gorgeous! I honestly don't know enough about brook fishing. So I can't suggest anything helpful. But we've always had great luck (skill) on Tim Lake catching lakers.

  • @supercanadiandude The MNR just states LIVE baitfish. check out the algonquin website for any more info

  • @supercanadiandude LIVE bait isn't, I think...and I think they ARE moving to being lure-exclusive.

  • Great fish, great vid. So you just deadstick the minnows on the bottom while the canoe drifts? sweet

  • @supercanadiandude No worries, I just realized that Tim is on the West side, (I always come in at the East Gate). I might have to wait until later in the season to drive across. When I do, i'll be asking for some tips =) Happy Fishing !!
