Men 'out-performed at university'

A report by the Higher Education Policy Institute shows that women are more likely to get places in top universities and go on to get better grades.

Women are given scholarships simply for being female [I did]- as if it were a handicap or something. Not only are they given more financial aid, they are more often supported outside of school by family, boyfriends, husbands - or the State. There are exceptions, of course, by the general rule stands. Further, women often get a better grade than they deserve. Lastly, misandry is so pervasive, it's little wonder young men are throwing in the towel to some degree.

Good for women, but gee whiz, this worries me. But what should we expect? Men have been thoroughly emasculated, and taught to hate themselves and their own masculinity. They are taught to fail. And that is one of the reasons why young men just give up.

Woman do better because they choose easier majors. Guess how many woman are in my Theoretical Mechanics course.......zero. They opt out for Social science and the arts instead of Physics or Engineering.

well they definately should NOT be given scholarships with the way things are now because the whole basis of how that was justified (women's minority position at university's) has been pretty much reversed. If that logic still stands, it would be men now that need the affirmative action because they are clearly and distinctly a minority on most university campuses. But of course we should get rid of all of that and like you said award scholarships and entry into universities on achievment.

It's so disgusting. Notice how in the video the young man is so deluded and self-hating, claiming, based on little to know evidence at all (and no the mere fact that women outnumber and perfomning better gradewise is very problematic and debatle evidence at best), that girls "worked a lot harder". what do you know, pal? You know that's what you are expected to say so you say it. And then these idiot girls that are so narcissist and egocentric about how great they are, it's all just bullocks!

@chrisman737 gee whiz? who are you the beav? lol. anyway, there's much more to it than that. the problem comes from distorted and twisted notions of what maculinity is in the first place - it isn't just this one hegemonic thing, but think many people thoughtlessly believe that and that's a big part of the problem. And I don't believe men have been "thoroughly" emasculated as you put it, but there is a lot of negative stressors out there that ill effect men.

Go back to rewarding people for actual achievement, and women will be left in the dust, like during the rest of history. Male achievement is just that, male, and stunts by feminists aren't going to change human nature. Most of these women will have children and waste the tax dollars that went into "degreeing" them.

It's unfair to say the least. Scholarships should be based on achievement and financial need - not 'minority status'. Females aren't even a minority, liberals just give us special treats and then say 'we're equal'. It's the farthest thing from equality, it's actually gov't imposed 'stealth reparations'. The major point that liberals don't understand is that men don't hold women back - women do. And while they're at it, they're holding men back too.
