dinosaur cake

A cake I made using fondant and buttercream. I searched Youtube and the net for fonant/gumpaste dinosaurs but didn't find any - most dinosaur cakes had plastic dinosaurs on them so I made my dinosaurs from cartoon pictures! Not very accurate but none of the 5 year olds seemed to mind lol! I apologise for the appalling video quality, not quite sure why its so bad! I stuck some stills on the end to show the cake in its 'true glory' lol!

Thanks :D the kids really liked the blood and it made Liam put dividers in the box he's got the dinosaurs in so the t-rex can't eat the others!! lol

Thank you so much - I'm glad you like the colours, at first I was thinking they were too sombre for a childrens cake but they did feel right! A friend did say that I should have had the dinosaurs fleeing the volcano so I told him the cake was called 'The Day of Extinction' lol! I do like being able to say that everything is edible - although Liam wouldn't let anyone eat the dinosaurs :D - Thank you so much for your feedback :D

You chose the right colors for the cake. They all have that undescribable tint that gives it an earthy feel, which infact reminds me of the Jurrasic era . The dinosaurs are so adorable and arranged just where it is supposed to be. Overall, the design is very well balanced and I give you bonus points fo making the figures edible.
