BNSF Emporia sub and a Katy train 2-12-09

Locations: Emporia and Lebo. BNSF trains are seen while waiting for the eastbound UP stacktrain being lead by the wonderful UP1988 "The Katy". I chased it to Lebo where i barely had a minute to set up the cameras and turn them on before the short and fast train came blasting past at a high rate of speed.

It's not a scanner. It's a amateur radio. My Yeasu FT60R dual band radio. 2m/70cm amateur radio bands and covers the other bands like a scanner does. makes great scanner. good sensitivity and better selectivity then a scanner.

Nice one Eric!!! I really need to railfan Emporia. Was there last November but all I saw was a Grain train with 2 Warbonnets and a Z train.
