LBJ is saying this because he is angry about what JFK did. LBJ was powerless in the JFK administration. LBJ was actually close friends with Diem. JFK wanted the US to run the war and expand the war. Diem didnt want the war expanded. He didnt want vietnam to turn into a battlefield between the US and the soviets. JFK killed Diem, the US took over the war and expanded the war, and vietnam turned into a killing ground, completely destroying the country. It was a terrible crime.

Most Vietnamese nowadways still don't even know this fact. Some of them do but don't want to admit it, because they think Americans are as lovely as God. We all live in a world of survival of fitest, where the little beings are eaten by the bigger ones.
