  • Democracy? Nothing but a group of lazy, looser socialists wanting government handouts. Get a job and work for a living. What more can be said.

  • @lonewolf6589 - work? who needs to work in a capitalist society? when you can earn income from profit, usury, and rent, etc. You sound like a socialist that wants worker's control of society, do you want to send these protesters to a gulag? :P

on a serious note, you should join us, you are the 99 percent, we don't want hand outs we want change

  • I can also proudly report that at one of our local rallies in our park earlier last year, when the protests first began, we had an elderly gentleman had trouble with his electric wheelchair, while trying to go over some bumpy sidewalk. Myself, and a few other people walked over to him, helped him over the bumpy parts, and walked him safely across the street. The gentleman can longer camp with us now, due to winter and his age, but after the help we gave him that day, he was there with us.

  • @GodotheInfantry About my own local occupy encampment, we have had no arrests, we work closely with city officials about health services and permits, we work in conjunction with the police, and we do the best we can to clean the city park we make camp. Electricity is powered through a local business who donates to us quite a bit and port-o-potties are paid for by one of our occupiers.

  • @GodotheInfantry You have first amendment rights just like myself. You may agree and disagree with what you wish. I'm not here to tell you otherwise. Concerning Ron Paul, I like some of his ideas. Repealing the Patriot Act, NDAA, SOPA, PIPA, and the legalization of Marijuana are just a few that I enjoy. However, the abolition of Federal government on education and then allowing the state's to take over would be madness. You think kids can't learn now?

  • @GodotheInfantry A plutocracy is rule by the wealthy. However, you are still describing this "socialist" agitprop that is defined by a rule of an oligarchy and that would be plutarchy. Corporatocracy is INDEED a word. English is versatile language, "Jordanesque" wasn't a word in 1970, however it is a word today. As for reading, I don't think you've read Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury. Good read One of my faves for sure.

  • @Gigrantula58 Well, I have absolutely no respect for your movement, but if you do oppose the NDAA and want a smaller government( One that lacks the power to attract corporate money and lobbyists) then vote for Ron Paul.

  • @GodotheInfantry THAT'S why I occupy!

  • @GodotheInfantry I also don't want big banks using ways to bait people into sub-prime mortgages on housing. i don't want big banks using shady business with highly-paid lobbyists influencing votes in Washington, so much so that those who represent us, now largely ignore us. I don't want for my government to give large banks huge bailouts on my tax-dollar after their own failed business practices put them there in the first place, and then turn around with business as usual.

  • @Gigrantula58 Another thing that Occupiers are against is the NDAA. Every Occupier I've spoken to on the subject agrees that NDAA basically broadens the term of terrorist to possibly include "government dissenters". Bullshit! Our government should not be using policies against it's own people. I'm not a marxist, I want REAL reform on our government, and peacefully assembling to protest a cause that you believe in is not a crime. As you can see in the video, this was peaceful.

  • @Gigrantula58 Also, the word your looking for it 'plutocracy,' or 'plutarchy.' "Corporatocracy is not a word. It might help your credibility to read a book every once in a while, but then if you did that you'd be a conservative.

  • @Gigrantula58 Yes, it's anti-American to expect to be free to succeed OR TO FAIL, depending on the choices free men make. You may be right about one thing, that our constitutional republic is dead. However, corporations pay far more in taxes than even one such as yourself (Marxist) can possibly call their "fair share." What with the NDAA, the CRA, and myriad other progressive, and anti-constitutional legislation, I'd say we live in a socialist oligarchy if anything.
