http://ventrac.com/advantages/finishmower/ - You can tell a lawn mowed by a Ventrac. Ventrac leaves behind a beautiful striping pattern and a quality cut. Mark Tennant and Aaron Pettit, grounds managers at NC State University discuss how Ventrac gives them a quality cut leaving their grounds looking sharp.
Looks like the wheel doesn't spin. :D

@rivasjuan1 Depending on the wheel speed there can be a weird optical illusion which makes the wheels look stationary or driving the wrong way. :-) If you look at the valve cover inside the wheel, you'll notice it spinning the correct way.

@Ventrac7 - I wish I knew the title and artist of the background music. Great tune.

@wintercat2 The track comes from a stock music CD by studio cutz called "I Need You". If you google studio cutz, and then search on their site for "I Need You", you should be able to find it.

how havy is the long roller?
MsBmx25 8 months ago
@MsBmx25 The actual roller only weight around 28lbs, however for striping, the weight on the roller is more important. These are approximate guesses, but with weight transfer on (which you'll want for hillside mowing), there is about 65-70lbs on the roller. Without weight transfer there is about 140-145 pounds. So you can get a deeper stripe by disengaging weight transfer.
