  • One of Clapton's best solos's, in my estimation. Makes the hair on my neck stand up 40 some odd years later!!

  • this is the greatest blues solo fucking ever I dont care what anyone says.

  • after being searching for two years, with only the melody in my head, i found the song!!!!

  • @MrCavey666 I agree with you but there are two really good solos on Fresh Cream: the one on I'm Glad and the one on Sweet Wine. That latter is titanic, but it might lose a point for being overdubbed.

  • You know this album (Blues Breakers) has five or six solos by Clapton that are just perfection, of which this might be the best.

  • Blues as it ought to be played, Clapton is red hot. More hot licks than a porn movie ! Excellent piece.

  • I agree that this is one of Clapton's best solos if not his very best and I am shocked that this track was left off the 2006 Decca "Anniversary Release' of the album, while all sorts of odds and ends were added. In general, I don't like "re-releases" that change the song order or the versions. If they want to add stuff at the end, fine. But don't destroy the original listening experience. I want new listeners to experience it as my generation did.

  • originally written as Double Crossing Mann (Manfred Mann stealing band members from Mayall such as Jack Bruce)....the combination of Mayall's plaintive and testifyin' vocal and Clapton's piercing guitar make this one of the standout classics from one of the greatest LP's of all time...

  • C'EST GENIAL!..................NO001000

  • @frankty67 Yeah. It's crazy that between 1965 and 1970 Clapton was with The Yardbirds, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Cream, The Plastic Ono Band, Blind Faith and Derek and the Dominos, and the only band he did multiple studio albums with was Cream.

  • @murfdog19 A great argument no doubt.Clapton was great in both eras.1966 and 1970/71.But my only regret is the short amount of time he spent with these killer bands. We only got one true album each and some bootlegs and hardly any live footage.I always wished he spent about 4 years with each band for a few more albums and tours.
