Think of WiMax (2.5 gHz) , or LTE (2.5 gHz), as remote radio contact with a
Wi-Fi hotspot (2.5 gHz), or Wi-Fi router (2.5 gHz)... Again, that's a guess...
"I'm a doctor Jim, not an engineer". - The "good physician", McCoy (Star Trek).
"Fascinating" - Spock.
"Energize" - Capt. Kirk....
OK, that might not be wise.
For microwave ovens also operate at 2.54 gHz.
Can your iPod Touch make popcorn?
What if it is a defective iPod Touch?

WiMax, I think, is an encryption-decryption scheme, but based in hardware.
It is not software. This hardware algorithm establishes authentication and
message integrity, so "they" know who is downloading what. AS for speed
and range, well, the microwave backhaul is a ring topology, and is accessed
by radio frequencies (such as those used by a cell phone). WiMax is the
wireless counterpart to what a CDN provider such as Akamai does. That is
my guess.

Wi-Max is super fast mobile internet. The applications are endless. Not sure about the "bleepety" bleeps but sure...We are emabeling more people to have access. And that's what I found most facinating. That's when I decided I have to be a reseller. Subscribers will come; it's just a matter of time
