Had this in June of this year, couldn't talk, read, or write. I lost memory from about 2 months before I was hospitalized. In the hospital I started to vomit, then lost memory until the next morning. I woke up and could talk, read and write again. Yet I still fill a pain on the left side of my head, and get dizzy when I dont eat or sleep regularly.
I am 60 years old. I had encephalitis when I was 10 years old. I almost died, but instead went into a coma for 3 months, in hospital. I had lost my memory and I could not walk, but I slowly came around after several months. I completely recovered and had no side affects.
@thedavisgroup i had it too last year and i dont know how i get it i was hospitalised and after 5 days i came to my senses but till now i always had this terrible pain on my head and i can easily forget things within a few second and sometime i feel as if i'm useless i can hardly remember my own identity card no
I was just diagnosed with Viral Limbic Encephalitis. stemming from the Epstein Barr Virus. Which stemmed from kissing a girl whic did not know she had Mono when we were both in the 9th grade, THAT WAS 30 YEARS AGO! 14 years of Personailty Disorder, and chronic headaches, and lesions. Now my CBC are revealing less and less Heterophile Antibodies so I am on the road to healing
A family member of mine has this disease man. She is almost 2 months in coma now. But is there a rate of how many people suffering from this will have a form of permanent disability and if so what would be the ranges of those disabilities? and in the mean time I pray for my cousin and all other human beings who suffer from this disease to recover fully. Amen.
I had encephalitis in 2004 and I was in a coma for 2 months, and in the hospital for a year. I made a full recovery but I'm still on anti seizure medication, I'm not at a point where I can risk it by going off it to see if I still have them.
@jcox5737 Suicide not worth it, things will get better.
