Airtight Apologetics

One night while semi-insomniac, I lay in bed thinking about who won Survivor: Samoa, and I cracked a half smile of satisfaction because it wasnt Russell. This led me to thoughts of morality and character. Those thoughts led to apologetics; I thought of anti-missionaries, their arguments and Messianics and our arguments and I thought, I wish there was some lynch pin that would make the whole philosophy of the anti-missionaries collapse like a tower of blocks a toddler constructed. But even if a lynch pin was found they would replace it with an argument of twisted truth, like the replacing of a grenade pin with a toothpick. You see, anti-missionaries had years to work like spin doctors over Messianic apologetic literature that they obtained by false testimony. They came to Messianic organizations passing themselves off as new converts needing information and these Messianic organizations were all too happy to help out a new Jewish Believer in Messiah Yeshua. They took this information, twisted its truths, dressing it with man made traditions and dishonest reactionary doctrine to make their convincing counterfeit truth, unbeknownst, at the expense of these Messianic ministries. That is like an enemy stealing ammo and using it on the ones they stole it from! I spoke up in my mind, If only we had an airtight irrefutable case Then I felt the Ruach HaKodesh chime in. It wasnt all words, but pictures in my minds eye. I saw a glass house with a window with an airtight seal was, and the person inside began to suffocate. Next I saw that the airtight seal was gone and the person held himself shivering and chilled because of the draft which came through the crack where the seal use to be. Then I say the gap was filled with insulation and the person looked peaceful and content. You see, to have an airtight case causes one to suffocate because the air inside will eventually be exhausted and replaced with carbon dioxide and die. The draft is doubt and without a filter of insulation which represents faith, it will leave one restless and cold. What the Ruach was trying to tell me is that apologetics is not like mathematics or science because there are certain unknowns due to our morality and finiteness which lets in doubt and thats where faith comes in. Faith, coupled with facts and circumstantial evidence gives faith sight and therefore in apologetics there is never such a thing as blind faith.
