As an MP in the Afghan government, Malalai Joya has said, "We are fighting two enemies [the Taliban and the foreign troops]. Leave. It is much easier to fight one enemy." Joya has faith in the democratic movements in Afghanistan, but our drones and bombardments (especially outside Kabul) are killing innocent civilians and becoming a recruiting tool for the Taliban. We are not making things safer for Americans or Afghans with our presence there.

This nut supports the rights of women of afghanistan but she just met with the Taliban on her trip over there. The Taliban are one of the most oppresive groups with respect to women. This traitor should be lined up next to Hanoi Jane and shot!

Jodie did not meet with the Taliban in Afghanistan. She met with women's group, NGOs, government officials, journalists, etc. to hear directly from Afghans what they want for their country.

That is a ridiculous statement. Our presence has upped rapes,suicides and bombardments? Until the Muslim women themselves start throwing off the bonds of Shari 'ah Law not one more drop of American blood should be given to help them. Till the fools in this country, like Jodie Evans realize Islam is a demented religion that will aways keep women in slavery.

None of this organizations will bring the troops back home due to really important problems that must be solved first. It sucks, but that's the way things have been and will be in life.

Well, yes, bombardments certainly have increased since we invaded because they are now in a war zone. Re: rapes and suicides perhaps I should have said increased despite our presence, not because of our presence. If the organization is all about ending the war it might be a good idea not to raise money for war canidates. That's hypocrisy. Maybe a Dennis Kucinich would be more your type even though he'd be an economic nightmare.

Jodie Evans has been to Afghanistan where she met with women's groups, NGOs, journalists, government officials, and ordinary women and girls. She was bringing back the message from these women to Obama. She is neither a tool of the Taliban nor an idiot.
