  • Hey Fay what's that fruit called in the Philippines that's like a very small apple but shaped like a pear it's sweet but very tarty. The taste and texture reminds me of an apple but a lot sweeter and a little tarty in flavor..?

  • @eujeeves Could it be tambis or chico or sineguelas??? These are some of the fruits that might meet your descriptions... :-)

  • @FaeySter Sineguelas! that's it! As a kid I remember eating them on the front porch with my mom... And I also remember duhat, I can eat a wheelbarrow full of them :)

  • @eujeeves Cool. And it's in season right now. :-)

  • I miss my tropical fruits. Especially fresh Papaya, Durian, Rambutan and Mangosteen. These fruits are expensive or hard to find in Australia. Thank you Faey for your information.

  • Hi Mrconradhoppe,

Not sure exactly where you are. But your "Hometown:has always been within" sounds nice.

The fruits are amazing! If you ever get a chance to visit any of Asia's tropical place, and can get your hand on some of these fruit, definitely try one. It's well worth the experience. =)

  • Hey everyone,

I meant to say, "Last week of August and the whole month of September." =)
