This is a galliard by John Dowland (1563-1626).

First i tried to transcribe it to my charango but finally i decided that it was going to sound better on guitar.
I´m using an old guitar that has a lighter sound than my classical one, because that´s more similar to the renaissance lute sound.

  • Hi there!!

This is great! A very rare piece by the master Dowland. But the title isn't Aloe... that is another piece. This is just called "John Dowland's Galliard" or in some manuscripts "Captain Candishe his Galyard". :-)

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • Hi!, thanks!!

i was confused about the title, there are not too many sources of information and i trusted in a wrong one, hehe...

    :)

    greetings,

    R.

  • Lo que mas me gusta de tu musica es el sentimiento y energia que transmite, sin duda una persona que toca de esa manera debe ser muy profunda, y me da mucho orgullo que seas chileno,¿que edad tienes?

  • This is great. Absolutely magical piece and excellent playing

  • Cristal clear. What a joy to listen to!
