What about Parfocal and Varifocal lens eh?

You have to watch what you buy. Although it used to be that a parfocal lens was the only way to get this, newer lenses, like my Canon 28-105, do indeed handle zooming with no detectable focus loss. Low end lenses are, well, low end lenses. Use the digital zoom on the camera. :)

Which 28mm lens did you use for this tutorial? Was it "the great" or the "cine" lens?

So you render in Vegas, then bring into AE, then render from AE? If so, what is the render from Vegas? Quicktime? Then from AE, Quicktime? You get what I'm asking?
