Each 'chapter' in Higurashi has a different plot but they are all based around a series of different murders that happen in a small village in Japan.
Higurashi's first series focussed on each of the different 'scenarios' that could take place.
Higurashi's second series, Kai, Explains more about why the events happened.

They need some pro's to translate anime lyrics. There are so many different translations, it's hard to tell exactly what the song is trying to get across. We need just one set of translations from the people who made the anime.

I feel so bad for Shion. I hated in when she went down into that..was it a well? I haven't seen the show for ages. She really had deep feelings for him, and I can understand why she turned out that way. She probably forgot the relationship she ever had to Rena, Keichii, Rika, or Satoko when she went crazy. But in this ark, she lets go and simply waits. :)

@Animeusa ... though let's face it, we already know she's the most prone to GOING BALLISTIC ... and halfway through the final arc she suggests killing Teppei, and beats Keiichi over the head with a chair.
