Ever worked with Cubase, Ableton, Ardour, etc? All of them are complex programs with loads of functions and that just makes things a bit more difficult to use. Buy a manual and study... if you want to make good music, you need complex programs. Otherwise, buy magic music maker... And for performance... ever tried to work with Mainstage... or Ableton. Those are the programs made for performance!

Logic is the most LOGIC program I ever used! And I used some.. So shut up and write music.

And when u have chords in the piano-roll and u click on a note u hear it. Good. If you apple-click, u hear the whole chord. No only 1 note!!! You can't "click the chord" U must: Set your locators, Press rewind, Press, play, Listen to your chord. Press stop, Press rewind, Press play. Repeat until your satisfied. If you want to hear another chord you must: Move your locators to the new area: Press rewind, Press play..etc. Why not just Apple-click the chord and u hear all notes??? That is Logic

In the piano-roll I want to edit a note, put the marker 1 cm left of it and the program plays. But it doesn't You have to point carefully up in a thin special line (far from where you are editing notes( to position the playhead there and hit play. If u click somewhere in the piano-roll window, nothing happens, it is not used at all, u have to pin-point a thin bar up there. Where is the logic in that? If u click an empty spot on the background-window, it should play from there of course.

What I think Apple should do is get a guy who does things on the fly, playing the program like an instrument because many people do. They create song in tempo. Then you need fat obvious buttons and sliders for the important, like filters and stuff. Not just sit and program. Then the program needs a skin, a performance skin. One same program can have many ones the basic code is written. Just select what goes where. Or give us users the option. I want a lot in the piano-roll window.

Reply to FredEflame, ye they don't create user interface, only function. Thery wrote the code for "individual track zoom". But they skipped the interface, there is no button:( no sign:( nothing... It's blank on your screen. The problem with that "philosophi is that u can't use they function. The idea was to design the program on an 23" monitor, everthing in only 1 window and then just schrink !!! U can't read it if it is there, or there is nothing at all. The functions "are hidden"... wow

Awesome. Works great! The only limitation is that the source has to be a non-decaying waveform. (ie. this is the only way to make the attack phase of each note in the sequence identical). The sidechain approach gave me some great ideas to utilize some of my third party software's step sequencers and sidechain native logic applications (ie. esx-24) into these environments. Thanks alot!!!!
