I load a horse that I have never seen in a trailer before. Had no idea how this was going to turn out. I show the right way that works and I show the wrong way that does not work. I have a few other trailer loading videos posted using my guys.

In the video you notice I say I did not know why she jumped, when uploading I saw she stepped on her rope, luckily I have done work with this horse and have let her drag her rope and step on it so she knows how to deal with it. It was still my fault for turning my back and leaving her rope too long so she could lower her head and step on it, this is a good example how things happen with horse and they can get hurt, but if they are trained right or exposed to things right, they can come out OK, even when the stupid human makes the mistake.

Here is a link to get a horse to hate Trailer Loading:

  • lol dude, the way that mare followed you so nicely on the halter rope before you even started I said to myself "she'll go right in. Maybe a moment's hesitation". Totally called it.

  • @havesaddlewilltravel : lol, I thought the same thing, I was like shit, watch this horse just walk in... I was pretty surprised, I have known this horse for over 5 years and never seen it in a trailer. Don't tell anyone but I put some special star dust in the trailer before I loaded her, it is a secret that only the real horse whisperers know.

  • great video :)

  • @honeyhearts27 : Hey you, long time no hear, how you doing?

  • Rick, how about if you load that difficult horse that is in the barn, in the stall, he is not being ridden, he is hostile when you approach his stall (video of you and Buddy, girl that owned him went off to college); the horse hits the wired window with his teeth, and pins his ears in his efforts to deter anyone coming close to him; I KNOW you would load him properly, but wouldn't he be more challenging to load? It would be interesting to see. Every video, learn new things from you. :)

  • @MsKasia61 : Same principles, pressure release, move and control the feet, make the horse move and not move, stop movement, make movement, all establishes high horse behavior, all creates submissive behavior, less resistance - not much difference.

  • Actually, Buddy sat you up. Before you got there, he said, "Psssttt!! Lacy, listen, I'll give you all of my next week's carrots and cookies if you'll just load up when Dad is filming."

And, of course, what girl can resist Hollywood, especially when he throws in a bribe of cookies and carrots? :)
