And, I just love how they quote the TWO polls that show 80% of the population wants a public option (one of which is from the NY Times), while every other poll shows it's in the 40% range.

No its not, it was explicitly not founded as a democracy. The founders knew democracy is not freedom its tyranny of the majority.

The nation is founded on individual rights that the federal government cannot infringe upon. Democracy is nowhere to be found in either the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. Grab a history book
