@KC8YOQ They have a semi-automatic 5 speed sequential gearbox. Also, they use a paddle shift mounted near the stering wheel to change gears. They pull the paddle to shift up, and push it to shift down. These cars still have a clutch pedal as an ordinary manual gearbox car. But, as someone already said, the drivers only use it on road sections or when the car is completly stoped - during a SS, that can occour when they go off, for example - but not while changing gears.

should be great to see on board cam of LOEB in SS1, i can't explain why he don't lost time on gravel on the first run, except he was absolutely flat out! lol
