  • Written by the late Jimmie Davis,Former Govenor of Louisiana. Also a great singer and songwriter. Probably his best known is "You Are My Sunshine. He lived 100 years. I believe if he was here he would look at you and say,"Well Done".

  • @wilmaohman This is one of the nicest comments I've received, thank you very much. Jimmie Davis was very much a great singer and songwriter. I sing "You Are My Sunshine" to my grandchildren, it is one of their favorites. I hope you'll stop back again sometime, have a great week......Frank James

  • Hi Frank, it is so nice to hear good old time country music. I have finally started playing the guitar again after not playing for 40 years. I am fulfilling one of my ambitions, I am not very good yet, but maybe some day I will be a little better. Keep posting these great old country tunes. You do a very good job.

  • @pass5171 Hello Joe, Thanks for stopping in to check out my rendition of "Suppertime" and thank you for your comments. There's nothing like classic country. It's good to hear you've picked up your guitar again, it will all come back to you in time. I've been playing guitar for 50+ yrs and still practice every day. I'm left handed and learned to play upside down on a right handed guitar. I turned the strings around 12 yrs ago and I'm enjoying the guitar again. See you down the road. Frank James

  • This is a super version of Suppertime!

  • @TheChinawall I want to thank you for stopping by to listen to "Suppertime" and for leaving such a nice compliment. Have a very nice Easter!

  • @FrankJamesMusic, Thank you Frank, I just state my honest opinion. I am told when he started writing "Sunshine",it was for his 5 yr old nephew. He performed on stage occassionally into his mid 90s. He still sounded ok.

  • @MajesticsBand I've had this song for many years and don't remember where I got the background tracks so I'm afraid I can't be of much help to you there. I didn't have much luck finding it on the internet. Thank you for your nice compliment, I'm glad you enjoyed my version of Suppertime. Have a good rest of the week.

  • @FrankJamesMusic This brought back so many memories. I love the arrangement as well and wish I could find that on a karaoke track. Have a beautiful day!!!

  • @blujeanswm03 I have to apologise, I don't know how I missed this nice comment. Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed this song. I recorded 15 Marty Robbins songs as a tribute to Marty. I'll be posting them as soon as the videos are finished. I'll also be appearing on the Shotgun Red Variety Show on RFD TV in 2011. I sang All Over Again and Marty's Don't Worry 'Bout Me for the show. Have a great week Joyce.
