@prescient8 I like how Mike Love claims to have co written so many of the Beach Boys hits. I was just wondering why when Brian quit the Beach Boys were reduced to re-releasing their old hits on best of albums. Why didn't Mike churn out hits and prove how instrumental he was in their success.Speaking of instruments he can't play any and when they ask him to play the simplest of instruments he moaned. Also he can't sing why he was ever put in the group is beyond me. Poor Carl,Brian,Al and Dennis

This, I think, is a song they were frightened to perform with the studio boost. But, great job. These guys shaped my adolescence.

beach boys are far better than the beatles!

@darrinbaker00 Absolutely agree. A lot of the minutiae from the record is lost on this recording--the theremin being the most glaring omission.

I'm so sorry... must be awful

Mike Love was and is a douche. Brian should have told the Beach Boys to fuck off in 1967.

@isaiah565 You do realize it's Mike Love, not Mark, right?

@Gianthogweed Brian was at this performance. He is playing the Organ, and providing the high harmonies

Ok ok ok . i dont what all the hostility is with Mark Love is for goign around here? Mayvbe its because i dont know the story. But nonetheless...Were all herelistening to this song because of one thing...We love The Beach Boys. Not The Wilson Brothers. not the beach boys exceopt for mark love. Flat out The Beach Boys. So lets leave the whole hostility alone and do somethign that actually matters....its a little thing called LISTENING TO THE SONG!...just a suggestion. -Tic

@SeattleLA - Mike Love dissed Brian's creative development, destroyed his already fragile confidence, sneered at Pet Sounds, scoffed at Smile and has hounded Brian thru countless law suits to squeeze more and more from his 'contributions' to the early Beach Boy song catalog. Whatever input He had, he should have been supportive of Brian instead of de-stabilizing him at important times. It's borne out of an innate jealousy of his cousin's genius and his own control-freakery.
