TransX Tutorial - Earth to Moon

Flytandem's TransX video tutorial for Orbiter Space Flight Simulator. Uploaded with permission.

From a low Earth orbit already aligned with the orbit of the moon, TransX is used to set up a single prograde burn that takes us to the moon. It finishes with an orbit insertion burn at the moon using Orbit MFD.

@kirza94 How long have you been playing Orbiter? Are you familiar and comfortable with reaching orbit, aligning your orbital plane, or even rendezvousing with the ISS for example? You should be skilled at these basic procedures in Orbiter before trying to learn something like transx. The more knowledge and understanding you have of Orbiter and the principles behind flying in space, the better you will understand whats going on with transx.

Alright, so now how do you go back, I've been trying to figure it out myself but there is so much different crap you can do with it I can't get it all straight, and nobody ever tells you how to set up the return, great tutorials, hope to see a lunar orbit to earth one soon

I have played orbiter for tree months and i found out how trans x worked for 3 weeks ago, your movies have been a big help to make my first yourney, wich was to Jupiter.

@TexFilms ive been playing orbiter for around a year or so,, i can take off get into stable orbit with apogee and perigee being precise, dock with vehicles, rendezvous, all other stuff except using transx i can get to the moon by literally guessing the right path to go for the moons orbit 9/10 i ll be able to land on the moon very smoothly i just dont know how to use transx
