  • really good demo of chinto bunkai, but unlikely that a real fight under a stressful situation would have the exact same applications.

  • Thank you. We put together this demo for Sensei Iha's 30th anniversary here in the US. In our style there is no official bunkai for Chinto. And even our official bunkai's arent meant to be taught as the only way to interpret a kata. Its good to get some feedback from real MA's out there so we appreciate you watching and leaving comments. Thanks again.

  • That was a beautiful demonstration! A different style of Chinto than we practice, but a very smooth demonstration. Thank you for posting it.

  • It is really heart-warming to see karate-ka respectful of other styles, it really talks about their good Martial Art education- that is how it should be with martial artists, but isn't always; I practice this same style under Miyazato Shoei Sensei, many times he talks about the great legendary Senseis of old, regardless of styles.

Good luck to you. I am sure that with your spirit and state of mind you will get very far in this wonderful Art.

  • well done, gentlemen!

  • Excellent demo~! with a lot of very good techniques~! I think I am going to have to watch this one over and over again~! Perfect form, and stances~! This is what I would expect out of Japan~! Numba 1"IchiBan"~!

  • Really good performance, even the bunkai is practicable in my opinion, especcially the thros are element of Karate and this kata for sure. Thank you for sharing, you have my respect, oss

  • I really liked the pace of your bunkai demonstration--clear, and easy to follow.

  • interesting bunkai application... very insightfull to my form of chinto in isshin-ryu

  • EXCELLENT JOB MAYWOOD KARATE!!! GREAT PERFORMANCE

  • Nice demo! The sad thing about YouTube is that some misunderstand the purpose of bunkai. It's so useful in developing timing and distancing.

  • awesome bunkai

  • it's really nice to see karate performed at a level like this..........
