PetroSims - Simulation Training for Oil and Gas

PetroSims simulation training is developed by Kea Studios. It is a first person simulation training tool for oil & gas maintenance and operation professionals. Users select a role and mission, and then complete the required task while exploring a variety of situations in either single or cooperative multiplayer game mode.

The prototype development was based on an actual oil platform 25 miles from the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia. PetroSims simulation training courses currently include Offshore Orientation (Safety Briefing), Permit to Work and Fire Fighting.

PetroSims will be launched at the Getenergy (Global Education and Training in Energy Industry) event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, this March 2010.
