Largo from the opera 'Xerxes' played by myself on my Virtual Hauptwerk Organ. The sample set I am playing lacks reverb which makes the stops sound quite dreadful and lifeless. There is also a half a second delay when I play the notes [I am not sure why] which makes my timing slightly erratic sometimes throughout the piece. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this transcription.

  • Lookie here who turned up when I was looking for something else? Dude, how do you get 22000 hits? Good job by the way.

  • @kathywilliams76 Thanks Kathy. 80,000 views total so far. Can't believe it!!!!

  • I'm not a computer geek or even remotely tech savvy, all I know is that you play this with feeling that can only be inspired by God himself. I have very deep attachments to this piece and you perform it with class and feeling. I bow to you and commend you on a remarkable performance! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

  • @jimbob0769 Thank you so much. I try my best. :)

  • What organ is in the picture?... Its beautiful and the architecture is stunning

  • @skylighter15 The organ pictured in the photo is the great 'Brussels Cathedral' organ. The organ playing however is the St Anne's Moseley sample set in Hauptwerk.

  • @diapason93 you have to install asio4all to get rid of the latency. By default all windows audio has a big delay in it. Playing mp3's is not a problem for that, but it does for playing instruments. asio4all directly sends the audio to your soundcard hardware instead of going through the slow windows audio path. Keep in mind you have to select ASIO4ALL in your playing software as audio device. And configure asio4all correctly (double click on the icon in the tasktray and see yourself)

  • verry interesting! but, wheres the sheet misic?

  • This is the music to my High School Alma Mater. My cousin who wrote it ( many moons ago ) recently passed away. MAYO HIGH SCHOOL ( Darlington SC )

  • Your playing is very good, at least you pay attention to trills etc

I noticed some audio glitches, that sounds like you may have a memory issue or your processor can't quite keep up especially if you also have a noticable delay when pressing a key.

It is worth looking at the task manager performance tab while you are playing to see if the processor is getting too near 100% or you are running out of memory.

Also the free program DPCLAT will give you a good idea if you have any obvious problem.
