A solid gold statue of model Kate Moss has been unveiled at the British Museum in London.
The sculpture by artist Marc Quinn is entitled 'Siren' and is said to be the largest gold statue created since the time of Ancient Egypt.
Weighing 50kg and costing £1.5 million (2.6 million USD) the sculpture will form part of the exhibition 'Statuephilia' which will run at the museum from 4 October.
it's message would've been much more poignantly defined if it was a statue of:
1. A starving diseased orphan made of solid gold
2. A starving diseased Kate Moss made of solid cocaine
3. never made at all
