20 community leaders from Haringey went to the streets near Seven Sisters Station and asked locals what they wanted to change to make the neighbourhood a better place. This Community Walk and film were part of North London Citizens' Listening Campaign which aimed to find out people's hopes, fears, concerns and things they wanted to change.
When all Haringey institutions came together (Alexandra Park School, Highgate Wood School, Highway of Holiness, North London Progressive Jewish Community, Rainbow Church, St Ignatius Church, St Ignatius College), we voted on our top three priorities. They are: 1. Street Safety, 2. Community Relations, and 3. Job Opportunities.
"Simply... listen to the people..."
Wise ol' words from a wise ol' man!
This should be item number 1 on the agenda.
