  • Artisan and Taitexma are the two companies making knitting machines similar to Brother these days. I have heard that their parts can be interchanged for the Brother knitting machine also. If you are looking for a repair shop then simply Google the search term with the area you are located in get their contact info instantly.

    Best wishes, Lena

  • Tania, a lot of thanks for this usefull video. What model of Brother knitting machine is? I´m going to buy one Brother 950i, I think is different of yours. Anyway, this vid probably help me a lot.

  • @alannadupont

Machine featured here is Brother KH-260 bulky. I have chosen this unit for the videos because it is easier to show and see manipulations with the machine on the video due to the bigger size and distance between the needles comparing to the standard unit like Brother 950i. You can use our videos for any Japanese made knitting machines like Brother, Studio, Toyota, Elna, etc. We will be posting more videos for Sweden made Passap machines shortly. Enjoy your Brother 950i. Taisia.

  • Very Helpful its very nice that someone thought to help beginners in such a clear and concise manner

  • @hlbronwyn

You are welcome! Enjoy and keep practicing :)) Best wishes, Lena.

  • Hi there! Thank you for your very helpful video! I am considering setting up my own knitting buisness, and have found a Brother KH830 knitting machine, and was wondering if all Brother machines are set up in the same way to this?

  • @Glitterbladejester

Yes, they are. All Brother, Toyota, Singer, Elna have same set up steps. This is the main reason these videos are here to help new knitters in their efforts. Enjoy, Lena.

  • I'm so happy I've found this video.

I need to ask is there any knitting machine like yours (brogther) that works automatically? I mean my mother has this machine for many years & she loves to start knitting again but the problem is, she has Rhumatoarthritis plus Austeoarthritis! & it's difficult for her to move the handle right & left!!

Do you think I can find a machine for her that moves right & left with a button or something like that?

I would appreciate if you reply.

    Thanks a lot.

  • This is good explanation. I got a machine from my sister in law, and eager to learn this( I have the Singer one). Thank you for the help of this video!

  • hi,do u sell maybe the machine?

  • i am so sorry Brother has stopped making these wonderful Bulky machines. Do you know if someone else took over the maintenance and new stitches design. Knitting is coming back more than ever.

  • @kikatube100

Your best bet is Ebay. If you are lucky, you just might come across one but make sure it was deep-cleaned, checked and in good working order. Look for the picture of a knitted sample. The sponge-bar has to be nice and plump also. Check the sellers "About Me" page for experience with servicing knitting machines and their feedback as well. Best of luck, Taisia.
