  • Hey Tony, can you look on the inside of your safe on the left side, and let me know if there are 2 tabs, that the top and bottom bolt come in contact with?? My buddys safe does, but mine does not. And they are both this model, and were delivered the same day. Im kinda pissed that mine doesnt have them. Thanks a lot, Jp

  • @bigpee733 Are you talking about the tabs that wrap in to hold the sheet rock/carpet in place? I have those and it just so happens that the bolts line up on those spots. As far as added security I dont know if those tabs would help as far as being added metal to that position.

  • @CallMeTonyG yep, those are strike plates, theyre for added security, and also you can bend them out to make a tighter fit when the door is closed. They didnt put any in my safe?!?! Its all good, I emailed bighorn, and theyre sending me a bunch of stuff for the mishap! Thanks bro!

  • @msewey1 Some people are concerned about what if the mechanism inside fails and you cant open the safe when you need it which is rare but understandable. As far as break ins though, I agree with your statement breaking off the lock does not compromise the safes security, it just prevents you from opening the safe in a conventional way and need a lock smith.Alot of people think the locking mechanism is in the keypad.

  • @msewey1 Lol

    Change the Battery.

I'm in the safe industry, everyone is concerned about electronic locks, in case they get broke off by an attempted break in, There is no difference if I break the electric lock off or grab my boot or another object and beat on a manual lock, which in turn is going to bend the spindle on the lock which makes it unuseable, you have to look at it this way, "If they didn't get in, the lock did it's job!!!""

  • @RogueCivilian They are held with Velcro strips and work really well but between all my lights its like 18 AA batteries. I am in the process of replacing them and running two fluorescent lights on each side of the door. I will keep one of two in their for emergency lighting but will be running power box through the back left hole they make for running a line.

  • Nice vid bro..i just got my big horn classic in today.how did you mount the led lights on the frabric?(did you use velcro patches)

  • @djqx Yep no problem, for the price it is right now its a steal I paid 150 dollars more then what it is going for right now. Dont misunderstand, these safes have security backup measures for a break in. Bolt the safe to the ground so it cant get tipped over, if and they hit the door. The re-lockers get set off, locking the bolts in place and they cant get pushed in. Breaking the keypad only makes getting in harder, the locking mechanism is protected by 3 drill resistant plates.
