Short and sweet how-to! Take the labor out of writing your "representatives" - this site makes it so easy and effortless. And these people need to hear from us!

Vote for your liberty candidates: http://www.liberty-candidates.org!

Sorry for the crappy quality - this is my first screen shot video. Used Camtasia 6. There's clearly a learning curve here...

Instructions to copy and paste:
1. Go to Congress.org
2. Type in your zip code in the box on the right side, just below the first banner 3. Just under the blue bar, click on either your Federal or your State reps 4. This is the compose message page 5. All possible reps are selected. You can unselect anyone or just send to everyone.
6. Next, type in a subject
7. Choose an issue
8. Type in your letter in the empty box
9. Type in a closing (Sincerely is the default)
10. Type in your name (mine shows up automatically since it remembers me)
11. Fill out sender info
12. The next three boxes are checked - I leave them checked, but uncheck any you don't want
13. If you want to add your photo to your profile, click the red triangle under the SEE ME info, next to "Include SEE ME information"
14. If you want to use the Message Booster (which is just more detail about you), click the red triangle next to "Use Message Booster"
15. Click send message, this takes you to the next page 16. Choose a topic and hit send. Done! Pat yourself on the back.

Here's my letter on the Stimulus Package - feel free to use any part of it or all of it. You could even just write "Vote no on the stimulus plan" (or heaven forfend "Yes") - don't let writing get in your way:

"I'm writing to urge you to vote No on the currently proposed "stimulus package" and on any subsequent law that proposes a government "stimulus" to the economy by borrowing and spending money.

The theory that we can borrow and spend ourselves to prosperity is deeply flawed. The crisis we find ourselves in today is the unavoidable result of generations of having followed that theory. The net effect will be to have our children pay for our mistakes.

The "paradox of thrift" exists only in the minds of economists and government functionaries who would like to think they can control the uncontrollable.

Economic truth is the same for a family as it is for a nation: you can't spend yourself rich. Prosperity springs from producing more than you consume and investing the surplus. To do this, both families and nations need to cut spending everywhere possible and increase savings.

The government's borrowing money and squandering it on bridges to nowhere, green technology too stupid to make it on its own, and legions of government employees half of whom dig holes the other half fill in, will only prolong the unavoidable pain we must suffer for our poor investment choices, and delay a real recovery.

The only way the government can stimulate the economy is by lightening the load the productive private sector must bear in carrying that government. I urge you to vote only for proposals that would accomplish that end. Cut government spending as drastically as we in the private sector must cut ours."
