A romantic comedy about a man, a woman and a football team. Based on Nick Hornby's best selling autobiographical novel, Fever Pitch. English teacher Paul Ashworth (Colin Firth) believes his long standing obsession with Arsenal serves him well. But then he meets Sarah. Their relationship develops in tandem with Arsenal's roller coaster fortunes in the football league, both leading to a nail biting climax.

15 now, remember when i was about 7 or 8 my dad and my uncle to me up to see arsenal v united at highbury, anhialation by the old boys-pires, llunberg, henry, bergkamp, keown, seaman etc., the feeling going towards the highbury by the underground was unbeatable, shame now we are playing in a big business, went to the emirates once and it was utter shit full of high wage businessmen from north london in their late twenties, money has completely ruined what used to be the beautiful game
