I know how you feel. I have MS and hypothyroidism as well (along with having sleep apnea on top of it). I am always exhausted. It seems when I take naps, it does more harm than good because when I wake up I feel more tired.

I just stumbled onto your video and love your attitude. I have SPMS and Hypo. Im a firefighter for 6 years and recently i had to stop for a while since my rightside has gone weak. I dont take meds for either though i was for hypo its hard 2 remember to take it. i know i know. Im dealing with weight gain along with others only in the gut area like im pregnant. Im going to get labs to start meds again for hypo. Do you ever think sometimes if were not MS and its Hypo? for some that is?

Hi Cindy,
I think the doctor was right in moving you down, especially if you are having side effects. When the doc moved me to .175, my TSH was only at 5-ish but my symptoms were many. This extra dose has helped me (up from 150). Everyone is different and you need to pay attention to symptoms as much as the numbers.
Best wishes,
Diana

Hi Cindy,
It took me a little over a year to have my TSH level out. I understand that fatigue. I take Synthroid at .175 and it took awhile to get to that level ... but I am feeling good. I think you may need to talk to your doctor about a higher dose of medication. No matter what your TSH level might say (even if it is under 5) your doctor needs to help you treat symptoms. Talk to them, they are there to help. Get better, sounds like your TSH level is too high and not enough replacement.

I myself had a thyroidectomy done almost 5 years ago after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My Doc had me under active for the whole 5 years and needless to say, i've been better. Hypothyroidism is nothing to play around with and i hope you have a good Doc. God Bless You and you have my best wishes.
