University of the Philippines

This is a 3-minute documentary style video clip of the University of the Philippines' campus in Diliman Quezon City, Philippines; it was shot and edited by my sister Lea W Dizon with help from her friend Guia Gomez. It was a requirement when she applied for a hosting job for Discovery Channel's "Globe Trekker" (formerly known as Lonely Planet) series. Though she didn't get the job, she is currently taking up her master's degree at the University of Southern California, USA majoring in Film Directing. This clip was shot in a few hours on a Sunday (my sister's rest day), that's why you don't see any students around. To God Be The Glory.

Just a minor correction: Harvard is NOT in Boston but in Cambridge, MA. But you were right in saying that UP Diliman was patterned after that Cambridge school, Harvard. :)

was there in the early 70's, knew some joining the communists, some become part of the govt, many ending in diverse occupations. many of brightest end up there; still surprised when history showed communism does not work, CPP/NPA is still very active; corruption is still rampant in the govt; muslim south remains stuck in the 60's. miss the Philippines though
