  • Just please don't have a fight about anything on my personal video site. Thanks.

  • If you have a coherent criticism of any Buddhist or other religious practice, please post it without insulting language and include reference links. Otherwise, please do not post to my site just to baselessly insult and name-call religious practioners. Thank you.

  • How is children going to monastery school any different from their attending any other boarding school? I sure didn't have a say in whether or not I went to school as a child, or what school I went to.

  • You are ignorant, that's why you say such worlds. Do not worry: sooner or later you will get it. Until then read a lot, learn and after you may say oppinion. But when you get the main thing, you may not feel to say your oppinion. Until then I pray for you, too.

  • Angela: thanks for commenting, but to whom are you replying? to myself or another commenter?

  • to wimalaratanathero,

I don't understand what you mean by "child slave culture." Buddhism is not a "theory" of Buddha. Buddhism is about observing facts and accepting reality. Buddha realized the system of this world, and showed a path in which we could follow to live happily in it.

How would you feel if we Buddhist describe Christian boarding school as "child slave culture of Christianity"?

You should study Buddha's teaching before making criticism of it.

  • How can anyone be enslaved by knowledge? Child monks don't have to do any hard labour, they learn the teachings of the buddha, live a quiet life of discipline and meditation with the ultimate pursuit of enlightenment and if it still doesn't appeal to them, they're allowed to come out of it before they're fully ordained. Child monks don't have all the responsibilities and rules of fully ordained monks, they live simple lives that are governed by rules that any good person would follow naturally!

  • Snow Hi. belive its the other way around, the children give the perants mert.

nana "How would you feel if we Buddhist describe Christian" dont worry yourself about what people say when they talk of this. you are not going to prove it right or wrong, until you have linked the youtube video of the thai monk talking about why they goto the temple.

nana if you pratice buddhism then do so, as you have to be careful not to bring "ill will","wrong speach","non mindfulness" closer to the mind :-)
