  • not sure I only had the heater in the tank for a short time and that was at its minimum setting. I haven't used the heater probably in almost a year now. My tank fluctuates from the 50s -70s over the course of the year. based on when the video was uploaded figure the tank was low 70's or high 60's. I've had better luck with the fry when there is a lot of floating plants in the tank. but only keep 1/3 to half of the surface covered. They will lay eggs quite readily and the fry will swim......

  • in the heavy vegetation until they are comfortable enough to swim with the big guys.

  • what temperature did you have this tank at? Do the fully grown minnows not eat the fry?

    please answer

  • I used to breed them.. or rather they bred themselves lol but they ended up looking pretty inbred YET they lived quite long wel my original ones did.. I love those little guys.. and their spunky personality.. even had a female spar against a male with the fin flaring wiggle thing they do and the male swam off in the end lol
