Why is there a Core i sticker on the E6400 laptop? The disc. says both laptops are core2duo.. so is it the e6410 with a core i? Or are you misleading us with a fake sticker :P

@The72Rabbit does that mean it is fast or super slow?

It's not embarrassing, everything depends onconfiguration. Precision is more advance laptop than latitude. More check function enables in precision on bios level. You can switch them off, then you'll see not difference.
Just see what is the longest part of start up.

dude where did you get the honda sticker? its coool

It is not embarrassing if you load Photoshop app on both computers and open a 700 meg file. The m6400 will scream open the file.

You're talking about a 5 second difference, and the m6400 has additional POST steps it has to complete. If you're going to measure "Windows 7 RC Boot" time, at least use the Pause key to pause the laptops just before they actually start loading the OS, so you're measuring the right stuff. Your test here is of the entire boot process.

thats kinda embarrassing for the more expensive laptop
what's the point of this? you could have a faster HDD in one of the machines for all it matters...
