In a new video, "Parrot" released by the Yes on C, No on D campaign, footage of San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi reveals that Adachi and Tea Party-backed Governor Scott Walker are using strikingly similar rhetoric.

"Parrot" was launched after Adachi's Walker ties were revealed by the San Francisco Chronicle.

  • Don't be deCeived by Proposition C. Vote NO.

This measure does absolutely nothing to address the EXORBITANT PENSION PAYOUT to the HIGHEST PAID of CITY WORKERS that is claimed to be busting the Pension and General funds. NO, it does not realign payout of retirement benefits equitably or uniformly among all public worker categories in any real effort to reign in costs.

Prop C was concocted by self-serving Union bosses in collusion with the interim Mayor, City Management and a billionaire...

  • ...with little to no input from the lowest paid workers and most adversely affected, nor from retirees.

One of the BACK-ROOM DEALs between interim Mayor Lee and SEIU1021 Union negotiates the transfer of several MILLIONS in paid wages known as “premium pay” for union members back to the City, placing yet more of a drain on the General Fund to pay for the cost! These are OUR TAX DOLLARS!!

REMOVE interim Mayor Ed Lee and Vote NO on prop C.

  • By all means good sir let us call this argument to an end in a way that rarely happens on youtube. I respect that you protect my residence and workplace from catching fire, and am honored to pay taxes to fund your work. We may respectfully disagree on pension reform; I support greater contributions from public service's higher earners and you do not, and that's just fine. In the end we both have skin in the game because we are San Franciscans, one and all, best luck to you.

  • Long and hard for.. That is not a pension scheme. Bottom line, it doesn't make sense to rob only Peter to pay Paul especially when Peter is a hero. I dont claim to have the answer to pension reform but adachi surely doesnt. I honestly think something needs to be changed regaurding pensions but prop d will literally make me have to work extra days instead of spending time with my family. In conclusion, I truly hope I haven't offended you and wish you and your family a great many holidays to come

  • Hey! I'm a republican, so I would never call you a republican liar... Just a liar . Jk. I have truly enjoyed this back and forth but will gracefully bow out. If I was on the fence about this choice you would have won me over but the bottom line is I'm a firefighter and when i entered this career I assumed that laying my life on the line for the city could at least protect us from people like adachi who want to personally aim the cross hair at public service pension (a pension contract we fought

  • @Mikefire4141 Actually I pay my own rent, but kudos for automatically assuming someone that disagrees with you must be a silver spooned republican liar. Adachi has stated that the IRS is messed up and giving the wealthy a free ride and this needs to be fixed, but in municipal politics there is only so much money and its a question of whether we spend it on services for all San Franciscans or generous retirement schemes. I'm curious how you're going to attack my character next, do tell.

  • Ok you win. You are the only person that makes under 50k and lives in SF with mom and dad or in a house given by mom and dad who both apparently were in public service and support their son on a crusade to primarily tax public service. You hit the trifecta poor, happy and politically vested.

  • @Mikefire4141 Adachi has a wife named Mutsuko and a child and I've concluded its fruitless to argue with you as you do not do even the most rudimentary research regarding invective you spill forth from your keyboard, but why not?. As for your insinuation, I have lived here all my life and both my parents are in the public service and neither of them find my position unreasonable, one supports it. I don't work for the city, make under 50k modernizing schools. May I ask how much you make?

  • Adachi has no family and wouldn't take a hit or "haircut" with prop d. or c... He's unfairly saddling budget and pension problems only on public service. What kind of job do you have? And how much do you make? Bet you it's not public service.

  • @Mikefire4141 Adachi has been serving the public for decades and would actually keep more money for himself and his family in West Portal if prop C passed, but for the same reason he foregoes public financing he is willing to advocate taking a haircut himself for the good of the citizenry. That is selfless leadership.
