Phobos and Deimos are the two moons of planet Mars. It is assumed that they do not origin from the Martian stone, instead they seem to be asteroids caught by Mars' force of gravity.
Both were discovered in 1877 by Asaph Hall. Actually, their presence was predicted much earlier - J. Swift mentioned them 1727 in
Gulliver's Travels.
Phobos is the bigger of both moons, closer to the planet than his companion is. His name comes from the Greek language, and means phobia - fear. His brother Deimos is relatively small and moves on an outer orbit. He could be translated with demon or dread.
I finally managed to compose this experimental piece with my synths. I normally spend weeks tweaking the sounds - this time, the sounds were arranged and recorded.
It is my first experimental piece uploaded here - I hope you enjoy it.
If you want the music as mp3, do not hesitate to drop me a PM! ;)
This piece is divided into two parts:
At first, it illustrates the zero gravity of space - a space ship floating around, laying in course to Mars. Suddenly - short after the arpeggio in the middle - it loses contact and the two moons show their dark side...
Equipmend used:
Quasimidi The Raven
Roland S-770 sampler
Moog Etherwave Theremin (for the long glissando before the impact)
ARP2600V as a VSTi
Yamaha CX5M (just for the big bang at the end)
Trippy Acidulous Vibe! \m/ -.- /m\

Very good! This is just the sort of music I love hearing, and making in my home studio.
