This 2 hour low budget movie was made for around $7,000 and filmed on weekends for about a year. The Last Man was shot entirely in Tucson, Arizona using local talent and some impressive locations for a low budget movie. Unfortunately, due to background noise and time constraints, all of the dialogue had to be rerecorded in a studio a year after filming completed. This is the reason the movie sounds "dubbed". Also, due to a very tight schedule the actors were only given one or two takes for each scene (which did not leave a lot of room for error, improvisation or experimentation).

Chapter 5: The Art Of War - In these scenes, Ray (Tom Rogers) teaches Lionel (Santiago Craig) how to survive in the new plague-infested world. Lionel isn't too happy with Ray's personality or techniques in dealing with the plague victims.
