Doom and gloom has become a standard refrain related to the state of ocean ecosystems and vanishing marine species. But Andrew A. Rosenberg, professor of natural resources at the University of New Hampshire, Durham, offers some positive news -- examples where fishing has been halted or sufficiently reduced to allow endangered fish stocks to recover within a decade if sufficiently stringent limits were set and enforced.
