The EXACT same body design, construction and identical components as our Deluxe Laminated Bass but without the costly face veneers, inlaid purfling and a more plain Maple neck. I'm having the bass set up more for rockabilly slap, but also to be capable of playing some classic jazz too. I'll be starting out without an amp until I get used to the instrument so I'm curious to see how well the Silver Slaps sound unplugged. Although I've heard that they're somewhat louder than guts, I'm sure I'll be looking for an amp a lot sooner than I thought. LOL.

Great bass and video! Funny--I was just thinking about using my Zoom H2 as an ext mic for my Sony a55 camera. Then I see the note you posted at the end of this video. Sounds fantastic! I'm going to try it!

Mine was strung withh D'Addario Helicore which are a good all around string . I would like to try the Weed wackers. What kind of music do you play?

That's awesome, dude! What strings are you using? I've got about two more weeks to wait and I'm really chomping at the bit. According to Kate at UB, the bass is built and ready for varnish. I ordered a set of Innovation Silver Slaps to string it with. Can't wait !
