In your hands you find elevations, valleys, paths, branchings and patterns -- landcscapes out of which lifestories unfold. Out of this Angela Dorrer develops personal maps by drawing and painting directly into the palms. The travel into each hand is being documented with a high resolution photograph, which is afterwards being printed and with a note in the travel diary.


"Through painting I discover and uncover, what I refer to as a new country. I explore, I measure, I map a terrain, I name and every aesthetical decision has cultural consequences. However the existance of the new country and this new painting is short term, as the host body will begin to break it down rapidly with bodily sweat."
