Luther Herding - McNab/Border Collie

Luther a almost 3 year old Border Collie/Mc Nab cross herding at a training clinic. He was very amped up and was just let out of the trailer after an hour drive and waiting his turn to herd.

I should have taken video of him later once he calmed down and burned some of his energy. He was much more controlled, listened to wisper commands and downed the second he was told.

He is going to be started on cattle now that he has his bite, confidence and commands down.

Mc Nabs and Border Collie/Mc Nab crosses are nice because of there ability to take being corrected and get right back to work with out shutting down or running and hidding like Border Collies tend to do. Some have strong eye and some tend to be loose eyed like Luther. Mc Nabs can head and heal and when mixed with Border Collie they bring out the best in both breeds to be a good all around head/heal/gather dog with a lot of bite if needed and tend to be short haired.
