A Tour of Empire's Grand Rapids School

Did you know that there's an Empire campus right in your neighborhood? Come take a virtual tour of our Grand Rapids school with Executive Director, Bobby.

Our first stop is Ms. Alexandra's class. Today she's teaching her students about salon building and management. They're learning every little detail of what it takes to open their own salons.

Next, we meet our Academic Director, who takes care of the education you'll receive at Empire. She's here to help students every step of the way. She says she believes that an Empire education is the best in the world. Bobby tends to agree.

Ms. Ault's class is playing Bet Your Noodle. It's a cosmetology trivia game where students have to bet that they know the answers to certain questions. If they do, they get the amount of points they bet. If they don't, they lose that amount.

Ms. Brown's class is working on pedicures. At Empire, you don't just learn about hair. You get a full cosmetology education.

Next up, we visit the salon floor. Our floor students are currently working on real clients. It's super busy today and not one chair is empty. One of our students, Stephanie, is consulting with her client, trying to pick a new hair color.

Our final stop is back at Bobby's office. He's looking through the Passion Book with three Empire students. He asks them why they chose to come to Empire. One came because she was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere when she came for a tour. Another says she chose Empire because several of her friends and family members have graduated from Empire. She also likes that she's not just learning about hair, but also about pedicures, facials, and everything else. The third student says she researched all the local cosmetology schools and found that Empire was thought of as the best around. In fact, she realized it's the number one accredited cosmetology school in the country. She feels like she's going to be prepared for the real world once she graduates.
