@bailinnumberguy i think nicklaus and player said the same thing, except it was 'best striker alive' :) hogan would have the 'best ball striker ever' honor in their opinion.
@Nightwing690 so in a nutshell, yes what you are doing is fine. Are you comfortable drawing the wedges and driver? those are the scoring clubs, so go with what you can feel and see before you hit it. Most guys who are comfy drawing it don't fear hooking it or hitting it left. Same is true with the faders, those guys want to eliminate the left side of the course...
@Nightwing690 . it's fine the way you are doing it , if you can reproduce it. the clubface is most important. you are probably just shutting the face slightly relative to your body lines coming down to impact. the face and path relative to trevino's body lines were pointed waaaay right (or inside). Trevino hit a straight push or block at the target. It's no big deal really. Just go with what you can reproduce most often. there is no one way to skin the cat. Palmer, Snead, Kite all played "shut".
@tenillechristine so i'm ott almost right, or what do you mean "on the downswing" trevino and couples drop it inside on the way down, so are you saying I'm swinging down the line on the downswing then?
I didn't know until recently that Hogan was his inspiration to consistently fade the ball. Apparently had the same work ethic as Hogan as well.

Dave Pelz said that tee-to-green, Trevino was the best player that ever was.
