Located about 5 hours drive north-west from Sydney is a small town in rural New South Wales "where the people make the difference."
Dunedoo is currently suffering the fate of many small regional towns of NSW in that its population is gradually decreasing.... yet it's one of the most friendly towns in Australia with everyone knowing everyone and most people have a nickname.
The annual Dunedoo Show is the best one day show in the west! It's got everything - steer riding, whip cracking, carnival rides, sheep shearing, wheelbarrow racing (with a cheeky kiss in the middle), dog jumping and to finish off the action packed day - the dirt bikes dash-for-cash.
Went along to take some stills and ended up shooting some motion video as the action was THAT good!
Only had a 16-35mm lense with me so its shot a little wide and no tripod but its absolutely stacked with country strength action! How about that steer riding??!
See you there next year!

One day I'll get to Dunedoo. My Grandfather grew up there. I want to see where my Pop grew up. My family have been talking for years about going to Dunedoo for years but it always gets put off.
I just hope Dunedoo has a decent pub, not the 'standard floor plan' that we have in Sydney, where every pub is called a club and they all look exactly the same.

@verticalsmurf I'd recommend hitting Dunedoo during the show for the weekend! Good times, great people and and a few beers at the end..... quality all round!
