Isla Fisher Interview -- Never seen before

I had the pleasure of meeting Isla Fisher in late 97. She was involved in a Pantomime at Tunbridge Wells assembly theatre (which is reasonably local to where I live). I was studying Television Production at the time and somehow managed to scrape an interview. This is the result. You definitely haven't seen this before because no part was ever broadcast and I own the only tape of it. Sorry about the audio, the aforementioned tape has been sitting in the back of my shed for the last 8 years!

While I admit it's not great, its probably the most personable side of her you're ever likely to see cause it was such an impromptu and unprofessional interview (on my teams behalf). Plus there was no audience and basically no pressure on her at all. I should point out that this was due to be edited down. What I have provided here are the unedited rushes.

Actually I remember being ready (and almost wanting) to dislike her. However there is nothing to dislike, she's genuine, pleasant, bubbly and intelligent. By the end of the 3 or 4 days that we spent taking footage (I've got more tapes with her on) I was an Isla convert and ready to stalk her for the next fifteen years or so. Unfortunately she moved away and that's where my stalking plans got unstuck!

I thought it was a kinda shit interview. They took forever to ask her question's she was so bored. There was what 3 guys there? and they couldn't even think of anythign to ask her. qustions were a bit lame.

Jesus Tap Dancing Christ. Every now and again I trawl through these the mindless and quite frankly retarded comments left on my videos by idiots throughout the world. Your one takes the biscuit.

1. This interview took place in 1997, hence no need to edit out which hotel she was staying in at the time.

2. Shit interview? Yes, but you don't understand the context it was taken in, or the amount that was left on the cutting room floor when we edited it (95%)...

3. If Ross or Letterman had conducted the interview it would have been like every other interview out there. It wasn't and as a result this is unique. It gives the viewer much more of an incite into what she's actually like. By the way, there were 2 guys present at the start of the interview (me and Frazer) and 3 at the end (Phil was late)....

4. This interview was to support a short documentary about the theatre she happened to be working in at the time, it wasn't about her. There was little to link her to the theatre and so the questions dried up quick.

Finally, we were students for f***s sake! Read the blurb at the side of the page!
